Business Coaching

& Consulting – 

confidential business coaching and consulting services to women and men business owners both start-up and existing. The ‘Entrepreneur’s Challenges,’ features an initial coaching session which allows the business coach and client become acquainted.  This session enables our business coach(es) to gather and examine information about the client’s business idea to determine where they are in the business planning process.  For clients with existing businesses, this is a great way to target key issues affecting your business.  The five areas covered in the series are:   

  • Entrepreneur Challenge #1 – The Business Idea
  • Entrepreneur Challenge #2 – Marketing & Sales
  • Entrepreneur Challenge #3 – Competition
  • Entrepreneur Challenge #4 – Operation Management
  • Entrepreneur Challenge #5 – Finance Management

     Online Training Tools

Small Business Training Network - a virtual library of online training for small businesses.
Training 
a series of workshops and seminars on topics of interest to business owners, presented from the women’s perspective.
Networking – 
 
structured networking events on a regular basis where women business owners and other stakeholders can meet one another to promote their businesses.
Referral – 
one stop first point of contact for women entrepreneurs who are then referred out to the other small business resources in the community.
annual resource guide & listing of women owned and women friendly businesses.
Mentoring – 
unique monthly program called “Success Circles” where established women business owners mentor and support women new to business in order to help them succeed.
Non-Direct Lending – 
The WBC is a Certified Technical Assistance Provider for the SBA Community Express Loan programs of Business Loan Express and Innovative Bank.
Internet Services – 
currently counseling by email with women in all parts of the state of Alabama. A computer workstation at our offices offers free access to the Internet to the public. One on One and Group training offered on the business uses of the Internet.
Bizmobile – 
this service delivery vehicle takes the resources, training and technical assistance services of the WBC on the road to the rural communities in our service area.
E-Newsletter – 
the WBC communicates with its current and past clients and other stake holders through a regular electronic newsletter.
